Triple-S Steel Holdings has acquired Houston-based plate distributor Griffin Trade Group.
The deal was effective April 29, Triple-S said. Further terms were not disclosed.
“Obviously, our companies fit together well strategically, but what drew us to Griffin was the people, character, and values of the Griffin crew,” Gary Stein, CEO of Triple-S, said in a statement on May 8.
Griffin has stocking locations in Texas and Oklahoma and serves diverse end-markets nationwide.
Triple-S Steel, also based in Houston, was founded in 1960. The privately owned steel service center has over 60 locations in the US, Canada, and Colombia.
