Mill Steel makes C-suite level promotions

Mill Steel Co. announced several executive appointments as it works to transform the organization.
Joe Poot was named chief operating officer of the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based service center. He will play “a pivotal role in charting future growth for the company,” Mill Steel said in a statement.
The new chief manufacturing officer of Mill Steel will be Rob Vella, whose focus will remain on strategic capital investments, the company said.
Finally, Kip Craddick will drive sales and expand markets as the organization’s new chief sales officer.
The company noted it plans to announce more management changes in the near future.
Pam Heglund, CEO of Mill Steel, said, “We are confident the changes we are making will enhance all aspects of our business, fostering a more dynamic and innovative environment. … We look forward to the continued leadership and positive impact of Joe, Rob, and Kip.”
Mill Steel is a supplier of flat-rolled steel and aluminum products with six stocking locations in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Alabama, and Texas.
