Convert Linear Footage (LF) Pricing To All Billing Methods
Linear Footage to TMW
When converting linear foot pricing to TMW pricing, take your linear foot price and divide by the width of the coil (in feet). Then divide that figure by 40.8, and then divide that by the TMW decimal. This will give you the TMW price per pound.
In short:
- Linear Foot Price ÷ Width of Coil in Feet ÷ 40.8 ÷ TMW Decimal = TMW Price per Pound.
Linear Footage to Actual
When converting from linear foot pricing to actual weight pricing, the process is very similar to the above formula. Divide the linear foot price by the width of the coil (in feet) and then divide that figure by 40.8. Next divide that quotient by the average decimal. This gives you the actual weight per pound.
In short:
- Linear Foot Price ÷ Width of Coil in Feet ÷ 40.8 ÷ Average Decimal = Actual Weight Price per Pound.
Linear Footage to TNW
When converting linear foot pricing to TNW pricing, it is again similar to other formulas. Once again, divide the linear foot price by the width of the coil in feet. Next, you will divide that by 41.82 (nom weight). Then divide the quotient by the TNW decimal. This gives you the TNW price per pound.
In short:
- Linear Foot Price ÷ Width of Coil in Feet ÷ 41.82 ÷ TNW Decimal = Theoretical Nominal Price per Pound
Linear Footage to Square Foot
For this pricing conversion simply divide the linear foot price by the width of the coil (in feet).
In short:
- Linear Foot Price ÷ Width of Coil in Feet = Price per square foot
