Ryerson has acquired Production Metals, LLC, a Monroe, Conn.-based aluminum, stainless, and specialty steel distributor, for an undisclosed sum.
Production Metals is a metals distributor of bar, tube, sheet, and plate products, along with precision sawing, lasering, and water jet cutting. It serves New England and the surrounding area.
“In addition to serving the aerospace, defense, and semiconductor end markets, Production Metals has a reputation for service that aligns with Ryerson’s commitment to providing great customer experiences, and their precision cutting capabilities add to our value-added business,” commented Eddie Lehner, Ryerson’s president and CEO.
The portfolio addition bolsters Ryerson’s value-added aluminum, stainless, and specialty steel offerings in the Northeastern US and its network of service centers.
Chicago-based Ryerson is one of the largest service center groups in North America, with more than 110 locations across the continent and five in China.
This is Ryerson’s first acquisition of 2024 after a busy 2023 when it bought four metals processors and distributors: BLP Holdings, Norlen Inc., TSA Processing, and Hudson Tool.
