Leeco Adds Processing Equipment in Indiana
March 8, 2023
Leeco Steel has added processing equipment at its Portage, Ind., distribution center.
The Lisle, Ill.-based plate supplier said it has put in a Messer MPC2000 MC combination cutting and drilling machine. It is capable of plasma cutting, oxy fuel cutting, beveling, drilling, tapping, counter sinking, and etching.
Leeco noted that this expands its processing capabilities for midwestern customers. The company said it can now readily supply customers in the region with steel plate parts, in addition to steel plate.
“We are always seeking ways to improve our efficiency and create value for customers and will continue investing in equipment that allows us to do so,” Denton Nordhues, president and CEO of Leeco Steel, said in a statement.
The company recently added LISSMAC deburring machines to its Ambridge, Pa., and Portage distribution centers, and a Messer MPC2000 to its Hamilton, Ontario, facility.
