Mill Steel Introduces Order Tracking Feature

Flat rolled distributor Mill Steel has launched an order tracking feature that customers can use to track their orders and estimated time of arrival.
The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based company aims to streamline its supply chain process with enhanced digitalization as a value-added service. In 2020 it launched an app for the painted coil market and subsequently increased its online inventory selection in 2021.
The new tracking feature has already proven to be beneficial. “The Mill Steel app has changed the way we do business. It’s freed up our team’s time spent tracking inventory and brought visibility to our supply chain,” said Kevin Vaught, owner of East Kentucky Metals.
The newly implemented tools enable customers to view real-time pricing, place orders, view order history, and bid on coils from excess and secondary markets. Mill Steel employs a team of in-house developers who allow the company to quickly pivot based on customer feedback.
