Duties on Chinese Aluminum Extrusions Will Not Be Sunset
Written by Laura Miller
October 3, 2022
Antidumping and countervailing duties on aluminum extrusions from China will remain in place for another five years.
In the final results of the expedited sunset review of the duties, the US International Trade Commission voted unanimously that removing the duties would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of material injury to the domestic industry.
In July, the US Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration determined that allowing the duties to sunset would be likely to lead to the continuation of countervailable subsidy rates of 12.04–374.15% and dumping margins of 86.01%.
Additional information on the ITC’s decision will be made available on the agency’s website at the end of October.
