Obituary: Wayne Mang

Wayne Mang, former president and CEO of Toronto-based Russel Metals, died Jan. 14 at age 85 after a brave battle with cancer.
In addition to Mang’s 20-year tenure with Russel, he also served as chairman of the Steel Service Center Institute (now the Metals Service Center Institute) from 1997-98, among other contributions to the industry during his long career.

ISM: Manufacturing index fell in Oct to lowest point of ’24
Domestic manufacturing contracted for the seventh straight month in October, according to the latest report from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM). This marks the 23rd time in the last 24 months that it has been in contraction.
