Lapham-Hickey Steel Corp. has acquired Rebel Steel, a service center specializing in slitting of cold-rolled and coated steels based in Nashville, Tenn.
“The acquisition of Rebel Steel is an exciting addition to our existing footprint. Having brick and mortar with rail access in the Nashville area will allow us to competitively service the Tennessee and Southeastern marketplace more effectively,” said Will Hickey, CCO of Lapham-Hickey Steel.
The service center will continue to operate under the Rebel Steel name under the leadership of current management.
Lapham-Hickey Steel is a fourth-generation family owned carbon steel service center headquartered in Bedford Park, Ill. It has 11 total locations throughout the Midwest, East Coast and Southeast, which supply a range of slit coil, sheet, plate, bars, tubing and fabricated products. Rebel Steel is the latest in a series of acquisitions over the last several years for Lapham-Hickey, which was ranked No. 28 among the Metal Center News Top 50 Service Centers last year.
