New Steel, Manufacturing Executives at Crowe LLP

Crowe LLP, a public accounting, consulting and technology firm, announced two new executive appointments of particular interest to those in the steel and manufacturing industries.
Scott L. Spencer, CPA, has been named managing partner of the manufacturing and distribution services group at Crowe LLP. In this role, Spencer will oversee the delivery of the firm’s full range of services to the manufacturing and distribution industry.
Tony Barnes, CSCP, has been named managing principal of the metals services group at Crowe LLP. Barnes will work with leaders across the firm to sell and deliver industry-specific technology, advisory, and accounting solutions to the metals industry.

ISM: Manufacturing index fell in Oct to lowest point of ’24
Domestic manufacturing contracted for the seventh straight month in October, according to the latest report from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM). This marks the 23rd time in the last 24 months that it has been in contraction.
