The Tampa Steel Conference will be held virtually on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021. This will be the 32nd year for the conference and, even though we cannot be in Tampa in person, SMU along with our partner Port Tampa Bay are putting together a great lineup of speakers. Here are some of the speakers already confirmed:
Leon Topalian, President & CEO, Nucor Steel
Dr. Walter Kemmsies, Chief Economist, The Kemmsies Group
Timna Tanners, Metals & Mining Analyst, Bank of America
Josh Spoores, Principal Analyst, CRU
Lewis Leibowitz, The Law Offices of Lewis E. Leibowitz
Phil Bell, President, Steel Manufacturers Association
Paul Anderson, President, Port Tampa Bay
John Packard, President & CEO, Steel Market Update
We continue to work on the agenda and expect to announce more experts in the area of steel and logistics in the coming days.
The Tampa Steel Conference will be a one-day event in 2021. We hope to be back to the Marriott Waterside as an in-person live event in 2022.
SMU, with our partner Port Tampa Bay, wanted to make this conference easy for anyone within the industry to attend. Our proven platform will allow us to conduct our program, highlight our sponsors/exhibitors and provide a quality networking experience for our attendees. The cost to attend this full-day event is $150 per person. However, discounts are available for past Tampa Steel Conference attendees as well as SMU & CRU member companies. Past Tampa Steel Conference attendees qualify for a 50 percent discount ($75 per person) if they register between now and Dec. 31. After that they will revert to our normal ticket pricing, which allows a $25 discount for SMU/CRU member companies and an additional $25 discount for those companies registering more than one person. You can register by clicking here.
