Written by John Packard

This week’s FREE SMU Community Chat will feature Philip Raimondo, President & CEO of Behlen Manufacturing in Columbus, Neb. He has held a variety of positions in his 28 years with the company, including COO, President of Behlen Engineered Plastics, President of International and Diversified Products, Director of Quality and Human Resources, Manufacturing Manager and Regional Plant Manager. He has also served on the board of the Metal Building Manufacturers Association.

Behlen has five facilities in four states where it manufactures grain bins, livestock and feed equipment, metal buildings, and fabricates parts for OEMs.

Mr. Raimondo will discuss how the coronavirus is impacting his business, the steps he has taken to keep employees and customers safe, the strength of Behlen’s order book, and how the company is dealing with the future uncertainty in the agriculture, metal building and fabrication markets.

He will be interviewed by Steel Market Update President & CEO John Packard, who will also share SMU’s view of the markets based on contacts with buyers and sellers of flat rolled and plate steel products.

We will host this live webinar on Wednesday at 11 A.M. Eastern Time. Here is the registration link: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_h1YaSY3jTVy-mR63VWTM7Q
