2020 SMU Steel Summit Conference Registration Now Open

Registration for the 2020 SMU Steel Summit Conference is now open. You can register through our website: www.SteelMarketUpdate.com/Events/Steel-Summit or through the CRU website.
2020 Conference Dates: Monday, Aug. 24-Wednesday, Aug. 26
Location: Georgia International Convention Center (www.gicc.com) same location as 2019.
Cost: $1,375 per person (same as 2019) with $100 per person discounts for SMU/CRU subscribers and an additional $100 per person for companies bringing more than one person.
Expected Attendance: 1,200 executives from manufacturing, distribution, mills, trading companies, toll processors, logistics and suppliers to the industry.
Hotels for 2020: Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway at $153 per night, SpringHill Suites Atlanta Airport Gateway at $153 per night, AC Hotel Atlanta Airport Gateway (NEW) at $153 per night, Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel at $178 per night.
2019 attendees should have received reservation links for the various hotels earlier today. You will also get the reservation links automatically when you register for the conference.
When Do You Want to Arrive? Our pre-conference program begins at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway Hotel at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 24.
When Do You Want to Leave? On Wednesday, Aug. 26, make your return flight for after 3:30 p.m. ET (our program should end around 2:30 p.m. ET). There will be a separate CRU Aluminum Summit immediately following the SMU Steel Summit. For those interested, contact Events@SteelMarketUpdate.com.
Strength of the 2020 Program? We will have a few of the great speakers you have come to know, such as Dr. Alan Beaulieu of ITR Economics, as well as speakers who have come in the past but haven’t been seen in awhile, such as Lourenco Goncalves, President & CEO of Cleveland-Cliffs (and soon to be CEO of AK Steel), in addition to new speakers who are great communicators and experts in their field.
This will be the second year for the SMU Youth Leadership Award sponsored by the Steel Manufacturers Association.
We will have a nationally known political/economic speaker at the end of our program on Wednesday after lunch. You will want to stay for this special presentation (especially considering 2020 is an election year).

Light lunch will be provided on Monday in the GICC exhibition area for those attending the pre-conference programs and/or not utilizing restaurants in the hotels.
