Join us for CRU’s New York Steel Briefing on Monday, June 17, to hear our market outlook for steel, along with presentations and a panel discussion.

The event is free to attend. Presentations will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the Westin New York at Times Square – 811 7th Avenue 53rd Street, New York, NY 10019 – in the Gramercy Ballroom. Experts from CRU’s steel team will be joined by John Packard, president and publisher of Steel Market Update, and Washington trade attorney Lewis Leibowitz.

The agenda timeline is as follows:

2.30 p.m. – Registration

3.00 p.m. – Presentations

CRU: Dollar and bond yields rise, metal prices fall as Trump wins election

Donald Trump has won the US presidential election. The Republican party has re-taken control of the Senate. Votes are still being counted in many tight congressional races. But based on results so far, the Republicans seem likely to maintain control of the House of Representatives. If confirmed, this will give Trump considerable scope to pass legislation pursuing his agenda. What this means for US policy is not immediately obvious. Trump will not be inaugurated until Jan. 20.
