Written by Sandy Williams
September 26, 2017
The New York chapter of the Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI) will be suspended at the end of this year due to declining membership. Members are encouraged to continue their association membership as an unaffiliated member or associating with another chapter.
A final holiday party/membership appreciation meeting is planned for December with details to come. The post office box and email for the New York chapter will remain active until Dec. 31.
The chapter will also offer supplemental funding for New York members without company support who wish to attend the International Conference in Chicago Nov. 9-11.
“The New York Chapter has a rich history of strong personal relationships between its members, and we would encourage everyone to stay in touch,” urged the New York Chapter Board.
