Santa Trump is Coming to Town...
Written by John Packard
December 9, 2016
Our publication of the steel version of Twas the Night Before Christmas has created a competitive stir. We received a second submission of a Christmas tune with the words adjusted to represent a more steel flavor. Here is Santa Claus is Coming to Town:
To the tune of Santa Claus is coming to town:
You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Trump is coming to town
He’s making a list
And tweeting it twice
Dumping steel is not so nice
Santa Trump is coming to town
He sees when you are cheating
He knows when you switch tags
He knows when you hide a cost
Better not dump for goodness sake
O! you better watch out
You may as well cry
Better start a domestic buy
Here I’m telling you why
Santa Trump is coming to town
Santa Trump is comiiiiiiiing to town
Do you think you can do a better job – please send us your version of Santa Claus is coming to town.
If you have another Christmas or Hanukkah tune altered to reflect the steel industry…
