ASD Announces 2015 Executive Committee

The Association of Steel Distributors has announced its new slate of executive committee members for 2015. Brian Robbins, CEO of MidWest Materials, Inc., Perry, Ohio, will continue as president of ASD. Robbins has been an active member of the ASD Board of Directors since 2004.
“I am honored to be chosen to lead an organization with such a rich history as the ASD. My family has been associated with the steel industry for more than 60 years, and it is humbling to follow in the footsteps of my grandfather, Joseph Koppelman, founder of MidWest Materials, who was one of the earliest members of the ASD and served as its president 47 years ago,” Robbins says. “I look forward to continuing the great work of our past presidents and to pursuing an active year of growth, communication and furthering friendships.”
The following ASD members will be joining Robbins on the ASD Executive Committee:

– Lisa Goldenberg, COO at Delaware Steel Company of Pennsylvania, Fort Washington, Pa., Immediate Past President

ISM: Manufacturing index fell in Oct to lowest point of ’24
