Severstal NA Adds to Leadership Team

Severstal NA announced more management changes on Friday to complete its senior leadership team. Gerrit Reepmeyer was appointed Vice President, Procurement. An April 2013 addition to SNA as Director, Energy and Utilities, Reepmeyer worked previously as a Principal of E.On Inhouse Consulting, a power and gas company located in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Mikhail Zhavoronkov was appointed Vice President, Corporate Planning, Pricing and Logistics succeeding Michael Bohn. Zhavoronkov joined Severstal in Russia in 2000 and moved to SNA in 2004 where he most recently served as Director, Financial Planning and Analysis and Information Technology.
Dennis “DJ” Johnson was appointed Vice President, Quality, Advanced Engineering and Continuous Improvement. Johnson joined SNA in 2012 from McKinsey and Company where he held the position of Engagement Manager. He will succeed Christopher Kristock who is retiring after 29 years with SNA.
CEO Saikat Dey commented on the restructuring of the senior leadership team over the past month:

Trump says Nippon will ‘invest heavily’ in USS rather than buy it
Nippon Steel has agreed to “invest heavily in U.S. Steel as opposed to own it,” President Donald Trump said on Friday during a press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. U.S. Steel is “a very important company” and was once “the greatest company in the world”.
